Perineal Operative Post

The IOT Perineal Post (POP) provides hip and leg counter traction for surgical procedures performed in the supine position. The device was designed for 450 N of traction, and provides simple and secure attachment to the side rails of US and EU OR tables.

Perineal Operative Post

The perineal operative post (POP) provides three different fulcrum height settings to lift the proximal end of the femur for optimal exposure. With this product, there is no need for a sterile femoral hook during the broaching process and femoral canal preparation of the anterior approach.

Overview

The IOT Perineal Post (POP) provides hip and leg counter traction for surgical procedures performed in the supine position. The device was designed for 450 N of traction, and provides simple and secure attachment to the side rails of US and EU OR tables.

The Femoral Support slides over the POP sidebar and acts as a fulcrum to lift the proximal end of the femur for optimal exposure when the operative leg is extended.

The image above shows the three femoral support height settings available when using the IOT perineal operative post. The height settings can be changed by sliding the femoral support laterally, rotating the femoral support, then sliding it back medially to lock it in place.

The femoral support has three height settings. These can be changed by sliding the support laterally, rotating the femoral support, then sliding the support back medially to lock it in place.

The carbon fiber sidebar of the POP is radiolucent, allowing for simple visualization of implant placement.
