Join the growing group of direct anterior specialists who rely on the patient positioning devices PURIST and ARCH for better surgical control.

ARCH IOT Innovative Orthopedic Technologies

Jenny Jin, MD

"I trained with Dr. Greg Brick and Dr. John Ready at Brigham and Women's Hospital doing anterior hips using the ARCH table and have used it now in my own practice for the past 5 years. I have done over 500 anterior hips with the ARCH table and my hospital has now purchased a second table to facilitate bounce/flip rooms. I have tried the HANA table, but prefer the ARCH for better femoral exposure without the need for a separate femoral elevator, and more consistent and reliable leg positioning between different users. My OR staff also feel that it is more user friendly than the HANA."

David R. Dietrich, MD

"I have been using the PURIST leg positioning system for the past few years at both hospitals in our community. I routinely do my total hips DA, and the PURIST is my preferred means of positioning.  Use of the PURIST is quick and easy, and it has a very small footprint which makes for expeditious room set-up and turnover.  I have used other positioning devices, including having extensive experience with the ARCH system.  After using the PURIST, I am spoiled.  It is simple, reliable, and in my opinion, indispensable for efficient OR work flow."

“I prefer the ARCH to the Hana/ProFix table because it provides precise and graduated positioning. I can always return to any previous position and know exactly where I am (degrees of rotation, flexion/extension, adduction, traction).”

Kevin M. Lee, MD

“The PURIST leg positioner for anterior hip surgery is an effective alternative to bigger, more expensive fracture tables.  It is small in size and doesn’t take up much floor space and can work with any standard operating table.  Setting up the table is easy and easily taught. X-ray and fluoro are easy to obtain with no obstruction.  Working the leg positioner can be taught easily to OR personnel and executed by them safely. Exposure to the hip is equivalent with other systems.  I believe the cost of the positioner is much lower than self-standing traction tables making it a more feasible option for smaller, lower volume hospitals or surgery centers.”

Austin McPhilamy, MD

"Having used both the Hana table and the ARCH table for Direct anterior hip replacement I can honestly say the ARCH table is a huge step in the right direction. I find the positioning of the leg reproducible and precise regardless of who is designated to move the leg. With an appropriate proximal femoral release I have no issues with femoral elevation and It is also technically easier for assistants to manipulate the leg as the table compartmentalizes each individual movement. To make this more effective yet, the addition of the MP XRAYCER makes sure you leave the OR 100% confident in your implant positioning, alignment, and leg lengths"

Joseph P. Nessler, MD

“I am using an ARCH and a Hana table at the hospital and an ARCH at the surgical center. I consistently achieve better femoral exposure with the ARCH using the edge of the OR table levering up the femur vs using a hook. The ARCH offers more reproducible positioning of the limb; it is more cost effective than the Hana table and certainly easier to set up.

ARCH for DAA

David R. Whiddon, MD

“I have been using both Hana tables as well as ARCH Leg Positioning Systems for several years now. Both systems work well in my experience. We decided to purchase the new ARCH Leg Positioning System for our ASC because of its space saving footprint and easy handling.”

Dr. Laurent Clairbois

“In our test of the PURIST Leg Positioning System, we like its compact design that is compatible with any OR table and completely free standing. The PURIST is easy to operate by an OR nurse after a short 2 minute instruction. The device achieves all necessary leg positions easily and reproducibly.

ARCH Orthopedic Leg Positioning System

Gregory William Brick, MBCHB

“We had three hips done by 2pm. Having a slight delay on the fourth as the patient had to go to X-ray. Having the two Arch Tables has saved us two hours.”

ARCH Orthopedic Leg Positioning System

Stefan Kreuzer, MD

“The ARCH provides controlled and repeatable movement of the leg. Femoral elevation is achieved automatically by the counter lever effect of the edge of the table when dropping the leg during femoral preparation.”

ARCH Leg Positioning System for DAA

Ramy Kurdi, DO

“I have been using the ARCH table for over 4 years and successfully performed hundreds of total hip replacements using the direct anterior approach.

I have the luxury of choosing between different tables at my hospital and I choose the ARCH every time because of its ease of use. With a detachable bump as a fulcrum under the proximal femur that attaches to nearly any table, the ARCH provides a better presentation of the femur for both total and hemi-arthroplasty of hip.  The table is easily stored and used in smaller OR rooms, and is a fraction of the cost of other well-known tables, at a fraction of the size.

There is no other table I would choose for arthroplasty using direct anterior approach to the hip, or for femoral fractures, and I recommend the ARCH table without reservation.”

Paul Maitino, DO FAOAO

“We have been using two ARCH tables for several years now with great success. We have performed over 500 DAA's of several different brand hips in this time. In our experience, because of its sturdy design, the ARCH system proved to be very reliable.
